DRAFT for European Athletic Competition, Olomouc 2005

Responsibility: Czech Special Olympics.

Realization - Guarantee : Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University Olomouc.

Data: 2005 – either first week of July or last week of September.

Facility for accommodation:

• student hostel – 200 m by walk far from athletics venue, European standard: 2-3 beds rooms, 3 rooms composed in block with separate WC + bathroom, shower, small kitchen + fridge.

Board facility : students dinning rooms – appropriate capacity.

Athletics venue:

Atletický stadion – Atletický klub Olomouc, tř. 17. listopadu, Olomouc.
(Czech Junior Championship – 2000, Czech National Champion of adults – 2003 - attest for European events). Recently – used for qualification for World Championship and OG in Athens).
European standard:
artificial track and field disciplines (electronic camera and computer system),
extra outdoor warming area
extra athletics hall (4 lines and field disciplines),
stages for 1.500 sitting spectators,
wheelchair access to all parts of venue
press area – on separate balcony of staging area
parking – 200 cars – 50 m by walk far from venue
lockers for competitors: yes
other rooms: officials, V.I.P.
Space for Olympics village

Officials passed special SO training, every year in practice (due to every year Regional SO).
Cooperation with health services, transport services, police and army - trained for National Games in 2005 (1.400 participants in 9 sports).
